Mayfly was the civil engineer and project manager for the Rainier Beach project. Mayfly provided civil and site design as well as coordinated a team that included landscape architects, electrical and lighting engineers. A four court tennis area, Portland Loo restrooms, a renovated playground, two bioretention systems and updated tennis and pedestrian lighting all contribute towards a vastly improved park. A new ADA multimodal path was designed to integrate existing trees and mature roots. Care was taken to integrate CPTED strategies and maintenance concerns in project design to create a successful project. Mayfly provided early design and cost estimating through construction documents and management. Construction was completed in fall of 2015.
