We have experience working on higher education projects, including master planning and design-build projects. We thrive working on progressive design-build projects as it supports our preference for integrated design. Our experience lends itself to understanding the complexity of existing sites, coordinating with existing utilities like the complex utilidor system at the UW, and keeping the movement of students through the campus even during construction.

We approach every project with Low Impact Design (LID) in mind. We believe that integrating natural processes into site design improves the human experience and minimizes our negative impact on the environment.

We consider the big picture when designing green spaces, utilities and transportation infrastructure that connect our buildings and parks and move people between them. Our background in watershed planning and site design give us a unique perspective that leads to practical and meaningful design solutions.

We have extensive experience working on Pre-K-12 Schools and Early Education Centers. Our team has worked on over 3 dozen school sites. We pride ourselves on sustainable stormwater solutions that resonate with both the natural environment and meet owners’ short- to long-term needs.

We can provide early planning, feasibility studies, and existing site condition assessments. This work can help provide early guidance that supports cost estimating used for acquiring funding via grants, fundraising, and bond measures. We can also provide preliminary/conceptual plans or 30% Design concepts to support the information for bidders in the Design-Bid process. Our planning work is often included to support alternative designs that are presented during the community engagement process.
