Civil Engineer- Mid Level

Minimum Experience: 3-8 years experience
Compensation: Estimated $92,000 to $125,000 based on full-time employment + bonus + benefits. Compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and certification.

Our office is street level in a LEED Gold accredited building across from Hiawatha Park- an Olmsted Brothers designed park- located in beautiful West Seattle. Our roof top deck provides a great escape for meetings and lunch with views of the city skyline and Olympics. Ten minutes from downtown and Alki Beach- this calm location is a sweet stepping off point to the city.
About Mayfly:
Mayfly is a civil engineering-based firm with an emphasis on integrated sustainable design. We specialize in the design and planning of projects that are sensitive to both their social and natural environments. We provide full civil engineering services from early site and options analysis through construction documents and specifications as well as provide construction administration. In addition to conventional civil engineering design, our portfolio of built projects includes stormwater retrofits to existing urban watersheds, park focused projects that emphasize equity and access, and projects that are committed to sustainable approaches. We pride ourselves on sustainable stormwater solutions that resonate with the natural environment, meet the owners’ short- to long-term needs, and provide an amenity to the community. Current projects include multiple progressive design build projects at the University of Washington, the Forest Trailhead at Woodland Park Zoo, the new Rainier Beach Skate Park. We are also working on multiple parks and K-12 schools throughout the region
About You:
We are looking for curious, collaborative, and independent engineers with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively on several projects simultaneously. We are open to full or part time positions that are onsite or hybrid in nature. We are looking for engineers that have the following skills or are willing to work to acquire them quickly.
4+ years of civil design experience
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Proficient with storm water modeling using WWHM or MGS Flood.
Proficient with local stormwater manuals and preparing stormwater calculations and reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
